FISCAL CLIFF: Speed Bump or Abyss?

FISCAL CLIFF: Speed Bump or Abyss?
I think I'm going with speed bump on this one. More taxes and
spending cuts will definitely slow down the economy but I doubt
it will crash the system. So what do you think, speed bump or 
abyss?
